I’ve promised to protect those I love.
But someone is lying to me.
Will I discover the truth in time to save him?

With war looming in outer space and the Earthen government forced into hiding, the battle for ultimate world domination is only just beginning.

Having accepted her identity, Sadie sets out on a daring quest with her friends, which takes them deep into alien territory. Fraught with tension and danger, the journey is not an easy one, especially when previous adversaries become new allies and cherished friends become suspicious opponents.

As the heirs unite in a bid to restore peace to the galaxy, powerful enemies, determined to exact retribution, surround them on all sides. When hidden agendas and shocking revelations come to light, the fallout is massive.

Sadie’s love life is a tangled, messy affair. While one relationship is embraced forever, another spirals out of control, threatening to destroy everything. Determined to do the right thing, Sadie will fight hard to protect those she loves.

But there are some battles she cannot win.

The drama! Yes, Siobhan Davis can write some wickedly entertaining drama, folks! Did I mention that Logan, Ax, and Haydn are all so dreamy (especially Logan, just saying)? Saven Defiance, the next installment in Siobhan Davis’s groundbreaking—a word I don’t use lightly—Saven series sets your emotions on high. All the feels and all the cliffhangers that we’re used to with her!

To begin, I love how Sadie has grown throughout this series. She started off unsure of herself and how she fit into the world, a world that didn’t accept her. She came into her own in Defiance. She saw something she wanted and she took it, forgetting the consequences. It would be easy to forget that girl from the slums, but she still went back to her. She still worried over her sister’s safety and wanted to rescue as many people as possible because that’s how she was made. If she hadn’t kept that side of her, we all wouldn’t love her as much.

If you haven’t read this series in order, stop reading this right now. (Unless you like spoilers; in that case, carry on.) Siobhan, my friend, you sure like to confuse us, don’t you? Who to love, who to hate, who to secretly wish was real (or not so secretly)? I am still a strong member of Team Logan, but Ax does have his appeal. There were moments when I felt sorry for Ax, and then he would speak and I would get over it—or then he would speak and my heart would break into a million pieces. The fight for Sadie’s heart confused the heck out of me, but I’m glad that Sadie never wavered in her thoughts and actions. The love triangle only continues to make my itch for the next installment.

There was romance, and what lovely scenes they were. Sadie and her chosen beau kept me on my toes. There’s a moment in there that I was like, “Oh, my word, they did not just agree—wait, is this happening—nooooooo!—YES!” Basically, I couldn’t form complete sentences, so you get the idea.

Saven Defiance has action, suspense, romance, and a cliffhanger that will make you want to throw your e-reader. However, I wouldn’t suggest that route because then you can’t read the next one! And as someone who has read the novella that comes next, you’ll want that baby safe and sound and ready for your next immediate download.
