{Monday Musings with Moriah #2} Bring Back Summer

School is either on the horizon or already started. Some students are even starting today! If you’re missing summer, here are a few books that I recommend to bring you back to that time of year.

26115812 I love Robin Constantine’s books! The Season of You & Me takes place on the Jersey Shore as Cassidy tries to work through her latest breakup. She doesn’t plan on falling for Bryan Lakewood, who I fell in love with! This book is Constantine at her best, and if you’re looking to escape back to summer and beaches and bike riding next to the shore, pick up this book!

Jase Garrett – need I say more? Samantha Reed has watched the lives of her neighbors since they became neighbors. This is the summer where she breaches the fence, learns more about herself, and sees her family in a whole new light.

Plus, Jase Garrett.

26155078This book is totally not read by enough people. Laila Patterson gets noticed by her crush for years, Sam, this one summer. Trevor Maddox also moves back this summer. Distraction is the first book in the Westbrook series following Laila as she works her way through life and learning about who and what she wants in a relationship. It’s full of drama, romance, and teenage angst. What’s not to love?

23492282 I love everything and anything Katie McGarry. This was the first book that I read by her, and it created a huge fan in me. Everything she writes is honest and pure, looks at the lives and stories of varying characters and creates unforgettable journeys. I can’t wait to continue this series, especially after reading the second book, Walk the Edge. Oz and Emily have an unforgettable story, though, as it’s the beginning and introduces you to the Reign of Terror.

This book has the word summer in the title. It’s full of fandom references and follows Maddie Summers as she learns more about herself and her closet nerd tendencies. Enter Logan Scott: comic bookstore employee and hot nerd. Their attraction is undeniable, and I loved watching them become friends then more. It’s a story about finding oneself and about others accepting that person.
