{Book Signing | Giveaway} Southeast Summer Book Bash!!!

What is more fascinating than reading a book that you have grown to love through the process of reading?  Meeting the author that has written that book.  Talking with them through social media.  Possibly even interacting through book signings.  If only those types of opportunities were available when I was growing up.  My passion for literature may have come a little sooner in life.  Moriah and I never miss a moment to visit a signing at Fiction Addition.  This is why I so love the environment of independent book stores.  Signings like these are always ones to look forward too.  If you missed this tour, you may be able to reach out to hosting book store, as the others featured in this post signed extra copies at several of the locations of their tour.  Click on the above banner to go directly to the official tour site.  Enjoy!  {Deitre}

Books are their own unique magic; book signings are like stepping into the Enchanted Forest–you never know what character’s going to join you on an adventure. I’m sure there are some readers out there who haven’t been to one yet, but once you get a taste of the experience, you’ll love it, too. The great thing about the tours is that there can be multiple authors at each event. The Southeast Summer Book Bash had a total of six authors involved, not all of them at each stop. Their stop at Fiction Addiction consisted of Lynne Matson, Lindsay Cummings, Anne Blackman, Robin Constantine, and Paula Stokes.

I had only met one of these authors before this signing, Robin Constantine, which I met at the Love Struck Tour back in February 2014, and couldn’t wait to hear about the new books I was being introduced to. Thankfully, this panel did not disappoint! The audience had great questions for the authors that allowed everyone to get a closer view at not only the books that they were discussing but the whole writing experience, also. That’s what I enjoy the most about when a signing has a panel before we all get in line to have our copies signed. We get a closer look at what went in to writing each book and how it’s different for everyone.

I wish I could recommend this tour to everyone, because I had such a great time at the event, but sadly they’ve already been to their last stop. I can tell you, however, that all of the authors there did a fantastic job of telling about their books. The books were completely different, but each equally fascinating. I’m already making my way through all the books I got!  If you ever see any of these author’s at your local bookstore or at one near you, you won’t regret the trip. {Moriah}

    I’d love to walk Junot Díaz around my town. And I’d be more than happy if the author could write about it. I started admiring him after reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

  2. Juana Esparza

    I would love for Sherrilyn Kenyon to visit my town because she’s one of my favorite authors, and I would like to ask her about her Dark Hunter series.

  3. Emily Endrizzi

    I would love to have Dean Koonz visit. He is from my area so it would be pretty cool!

      Hi Emily, you may need to reach out to your local independent bookstore and see if they can make that happen for you. You just never know. :)

    I really wish I could meet Anne Tyler and Holly Black! I love both, it would be great to have my books signed by them!

  5. Nataile Brown

    My favorite books are autobiographies so would love to go to an event for Jimmy Carter and his book A Full Life. Amazing man!

    I’ll be attending a book event for The Devil You Know by Trish Doller on July 22nd. I’ve been looking forward to her coming back for quite a while.
