{Book Reviews, Video Style} I am a Witch’s Cat, Lulu and the Witch Baby, and Monster School

I'm excited to announce that Jennie with Random Chalk Talk is officially a guest reviewer for A Leisure Moment.  Jennie told us all about her 1 day reads over the summer.  I could barely keep up with her mega reading, but boy did she give us plenty of great reads to add to our TBR pile.

Honestly, there is no introduction that I can give this post.  It's a Halloween Round-Up sponsored by HarperCollins Children's Books.  It's just in time for the fall holiday.  It's informative.  It's cute.  It's straight from the heart of young readers.  It's three great books, that are about to come alive in the video below.  Enjoy! {Deitre}

I Am a Witch’s Cat written and illustrated by Harriet Muncaster
Ages 4 to 8
A little girl believes her mother is a good witch. And she is a special witch’s cat. After all, every good witch needs a black cat. Together, this playful girl and her witchy mother are a perfect twosome, whether they are mixing potions, growing magical plants, or dreaming of wild broomstick rides under a full moon.

Lulu and the Witch Baby written Jane O’Connor, illustrated by Bella Sinclair
Ages 4 to 8
Lulu the Witch changes her mind about her pesky baby sister when she thinks that her spell made the baby disappear in this beautifully repackaged edition of the Jane O’Connor classic.

Monster School: The Spooky Sleepover written and illustrated by Dave Keane
Ages 4 to 8
Norm is just plain normal until he finds himself in a new school where all his classmates are monsters! When his school hosts a sleepover, Norm is nervous that he’ll be too scared to fall asleep. After all, he doesn’t need to look underneath the bed to find the monsters—they’re sleeping right next to him!
