Isabella finally has a chance to show her mom that she is grown up, only it doesn’t go quite as planned. Baxter is her adorable dog who, like any dog, likes to play. Isabella promises her mom that she will watch over Baxter and they have a full day of fun. Every girl needs a puppy and I love that Isabella’s love for her puppy comes through on the pages of this lovely read. This would be a great book to use to teach children the importance of responsibility and to show that it is sometimes not as easy as we like for it to be. My puppy, like Baxter, has a mind of her own and definitely lets it shine from time to time as you can see.
