The month of February is always filled with smiles and good times with family and friends. With my birthday and Valentine’s Day within days of each other, there is never a dull moment. Even as an adult my love for surprises, sweets, and swoon worthy reads are always a highlight of the occasion. Just look at these yummy strawberry milkshake cupcakes. It just doesn’t get any better than that! My BFF knows the way to my heart!
I recently finished Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan. Twisted with action, fantasy, and romance, this read already has me wanting the next book. It’s days like these, when I wish some how, that a great series has fallen off of my radar and when it’s back on again and all the books are already published and I can just binge read my way to total reading happiness. Unfortunately, this is not the case. So in the meantime, I will work on my TBR pile that is so high, I’m a little overwhelmed right now.
What’s next for me? Kimberley Griffiths-Little, Banished is next in line. I had a wonderful opportunity to meet Kimberley again at a book signing in a little town of Tryon, North Carolina. She has such a sweet spirit and love for her stories and the history that accompanies her novels. She was not alone at the book signing. Christopher Ledbetter was there as well, featuring his debut novel Drawn. I was able to enjoy an early dinner with them both. It’s always such an honor to be around the authors that we admire and follow on their literary journeys. Christopher has given a signed copy of Drawn to one of A Leisure Moment’s readers. So if you haven’t had a chance to read Drawn, your chance for the giveaway is coming this week.
Lastly, I must include a reminder that Moriah’s novel, Panned, is still available for you to read on Swoon Reads. Be sure to check it out and leave a comment. I’m so proud of her. She’s reaching for her dream, and I’m so glad to be able to take part in her journey!
